"A Dream Come True"
Battle Ground Community Library is your home away from home. This gracious and welcoming, bustling and serene gathering spot in the middle of Battle Ground Village meets your needs for information, recreational reading, and social engagement. Find a book to read, surf the internet, bring the children for storytime, attend a book discussion group or lecture, view an art exhibit, get help learning English, or drop off your teen to volunteer or attend an event tailored for young adults. The Friends of the Library operate Ben's Books, a used bookstore within the library.
The library opened in this location in May 2009. Library supporters had pushed their dream of a new, larger library along for more than two decades, culminating in a fundraising effort led by the Friends, plus primary support from the Library District and local developer Dennis Pavlina, and additional support from the FVRL Foundation. The greater Battle Ground community came together to support the project, as evidenced by the abundant donor plaques throughout the building.
Stop by to visit with our friendly, helpful staff and learn more about what the library has to offer you.
