"A Dream Come True"
This charming library located in the heart of Battle Ground Village is all about dreams! Library supporters pushed their dream of a new, larger library along for more than two decades, culminating in a fundraising effort led by the Friends of Battle Ground Library, plus primary support from the Library District and local developer Dennis Pavlina, and additional support from the FVRL Foundation. The new library opened its doors to the public on May 15, 2009, with a grand opening celebration on May 30. We look forward to the fulfillment of many more dreams through the learning opportunities and connections that will happen here.
Features of the new library include a technology "corral," a large children's area, teen room, tween corner (for ages 8-11), community meeting room, literacy and ESL area, reading area with a 20-foot rock fireplace, Friends Room (with many gently-used books for sale) and much more. We also offer a variety of programs and events targeted to different age groups and interests. Stop by to visit with our friendly, helpful staff and learn more about what the library has to offer you.
