Library History & Statistics

Vancouver's "Biggest Little Library"

Despite being only 2,400 square feet, our unique library configuration makes us feel much bigger. Carousel bookshelves around the perimeter of the library allow us to house as many books as a facility twice our size. There is something for every interest and reading level among the more than 27,000 books, audio cassettes and videos on our shelves. In fact, our books are so popular that we circulate more per square foot than any other branch in the district!

Our library is family-friendly. We have a large children's collection and our compact space allows a parent the opportunity to browse adult fiction while being just steps away from a child using the story computer or looking at picture books.

Students will discover the resources they need for their school projects. Business people and investors can access a wealth of paper and electronic materials to aid them in their research.

Two computers are available for use free of charge. You can search the Internet or type your report or resume using Microsoft Works suite.

Come meet our friendly staff and discover the valuable resources available to you at your neighborhood library. Also, visit the greater Vancouver building project page to learn about a library expansion project that is currently being considered for Cascade Park.
