Just a reminder... Mall library now closed for remodeling Reopening April 2013 as The Mall Library Connection
The library at Westfield Vancouver shopping center closed on Dec. 24 for remodeling. That's a temporary closure, but the removal of the outside book-return bins is permanent. When the library reopens in March or April 2013 as The Mall Library Connection (a refreshed and condensed facility), books will need to be returned inside the mall.
During the closure, we encourage our mall patrons to pick up holds, access library services, and return books at any other FVRL location. Please do not leave returned library books anywhere at the mall -- they will not be picked up!
You may want to check out the FAQ handout and the project information page for more information, or call the main library at 360-906-5106 with questions.

Good wishes for 2013
The new year promises some exciting developments for you, our patrons:
· The Jan. 15 debut of a much-improved www.fvrl.org website
· The reopening of an updated library facility, The Mall Library Connection, at Westfield Vancouver in late March or April
· A bookmark contest -- newly extended through grade 12 -- that starts this month and keys off the 2013 Summer Reading themes
· The convenient option of paying library fees via credit/debit card, beginning later this year.
I hope you'll enjoy these new offerings. One thing that never changes -- our commitment to bringing you great library service. My best wishes to you for rewarding library reading, listening and viewing in 2013.
