Vancouver Community Library (upstairs in Young Adult section) Thursday, May 1, 7:00 p.m. Monthly drop-in workshop for all ages, taught by local poets. Bring pen and paper and come prepared to write and share poems. Led by Rivkah Loewus. The Trail Band Canyon Creek Middle School (9731 Washougal River Road in Washougal) Saturday, May 3, 3:00 p.m. (doors open at 2 p.m.) The Trail Band is an 8-piece ensemble that creates an energetic blend of brass and string arrangements of traditional and original music featuring five great vocalists including Quarterflash's Rindy Ross. Co-sponsored by the Washougal and Stevenson community libraries; underwritten by ESD 112-21st Century BRIDGES After School Program. Open-Mic Poetry Night Vancouver Community Library Wednesday, May 14, 7:00 p.m. All ages and voices welcome. Those who wish to read are encouraged to arrive by 6:45 p.m. to sign up. Led by Rivkah Loewus. Song Circle Goldendale Community Library Tuesday, May 20, 7:00-9:00 p.m. Join in the fun singing folk songs, reading poetry, telling a story or playing music. All ages welcome. White Salmon Valley Library Saturday, May 3, 1:00 p.m. Read a book and watch a movie. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Knitting at the Library La Center Community Library Wednesdays in May from 10:00-11:30 a.m. An ongoing group. Have an enjoyable time in a relaxed atmosphere learning a new art. The Stitchery Group Ridgefield Community Library Wednesdays in May from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. A free, informal weekly drop-in get-together. Any stitchery-type hobby is welcome including mending projects. Knit-In Vancouver Mall Community Library Wednesdays, May 14 and 28, 6:00-7:30 p.m. Open to anyone who likes to knit or wants to learn. Volunteers will be available to teach and assist. For Teens Teen 'Scape Vancouver Community Library ![]() Fridays in May from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Teen 'Scape is a relaxing time to kick back, have fun and meet other teens in our community.
