These programs are facilitated by Dawn Prochovnic, author of Story Time with Signs and Rhymes, a collection of picture books due to release in September 2009 that explore early childhood concepts through lyrical language and ASL.

Take home practical information to help you enjoy the harvest year-round. Held at the Vancouver library on Saturday, September 19, from Noon-2 p.m.
Eyes on the World
Dr. Jim Ogden and his group of volunteers are back for an engaging and educational slideshow depicting their humanitarian aid program to people in impoverished areas of the world. Held at the Goldendale library on Monday, September 21 at 7 p.m.
Charles Crosman -- smooth jazz guitar
Come relax and enjoy smooth jazz guitar with tea, coffee, snacks and good friends. Charles Crosman is known throughout the Northwest for his skill on jazz guitar. Held at Goldendale library on Tuesday, September 22 at 7 p.m.

Linda Jo Hunter
Hear about author Linda Jo Hunter's encounters with Washington and Alaskan bears as she shares excerpts from her book, Lonesome for Bears: A Woman’s Journey in the Tracks of the Wilderness. Held at the Battle Ground library on Thursday, September 24 at 7 p.m.

Molly Gloss
Author Molly Gloss discusses her book, The Hearts of Horses, a story of a young woman breaking horses for several ranchers in Eastern Oregon in the winter of 1917. Held at the White Salmon library on Saturday, September 26, at 1 p.m.

Mary Schlick
Join author Mary Schlick in a discussion of her memoir, Coming to Stay: A Columbia River Journey, which tells the stories of her logging family and the families they have lived among since the 1950s. Held at the Stevenson library on Tuesday, September 29 at 7 p.m.
