Fort Vancouver Regional Library District Public Liability Policy The Fort Vancouver Regional Library District (FVRL) shall indemnify and hold personally harmless any of its trustees, employees, and agents from any action, claim, or proceeding instituted against the foregoing individuals arising out of the performance, purported performance, or failure of performance, in good faith, of duties for, or employment with, the FVRL and to hold these individuals harmless from any expenses connected with the defense, settlement, or monetary judgments from such actions, claims or proceedings; provided, however, that no such person shall be indemnified against, or held harmless from, any expense incurred in connection with any actions, claims or proceedings arising out of his or her own criminal act or willful misconduct. The amount paid to any trustee, employee or agent by way of indemnification shall not exceed his or her actual, reasonable, and necessary expenses incurred in connection with the matter involved. The right of indemnification provided shall not be exclusive of any rights to which any trustee, employee, or agent of the FVRL may otherwise be entitled by law.
