"The Art of Information"
Our library has a rich history of diverse programs. From community theater, musical entertainment and an annual parade of poetry, to Inquiring Mind presentations, book and current concerns discussions, storytimes and other children's programs, there's something for every interest.
There's always something on display in our library gallery. Individual artist exhibits may feature paintings, photos, quilts, tapestries or student artwork. Traveling exhibits often stop here in Stevenson-we've had art from the children of Tibet and China, photography by well-known Native American photographer Chuck Williams, and others on display in our gallery. Our annual Artists of the Gorge juried art show has drawn interest to the community each year since it was first held in 1980.
We have a diverse collection of books and other materials. You can check out books on audio tape, non-fiction videos and large print materials as well. And of course we have materials on local history.
The Skamania County Pioneer is available on microfilm back to 1901. You can use the library's microfilm reader/printer (copies are just 10 cents per page).
Four public access computers are available for use free of charge. You can search the Internet or type your report or resume.
Bookmobile service is provided to outlying areas.
