A full-service branch close to home
Woodland Community Library offers patrons of all ages a full range of services, including weekly storytimes, monthly adult and teen book discussions, a Writers Circle, and a continually expanding collection of books, CDs and DVDs.
We're housed in a historic building, with friendly, expert staff who will help you feel right at home.
Our upstairs children's area beckons you and your kids for a play break with its cozy sectional sofa and its toys, puppets, puzzles, blocks and Legos. Children are invited to play on the interactive "Brain Station."
Teens can keep up with young adult library happenings at www.myspace.com/woodlandliberry.
Check the events calendar for our Anime-zing Woodland Japanese animation club, film screenings, knitting sessions and games days.
Your library offers four public computer stations on the ground floor, featuring high-speed Internet access plus Microsoft Office applications, free of charge. Two additional stations host the library's Catalog and Microsoft Word, plus a wide range of electronic resources. You'll find everything from homework help, to car repair information, to genealogy research, to finding your next great read. Free high-speed wireless Internet access is available throughout the building for hookup via personal wireless devices. Two tables upstairs provide a comfortable spot for wireless computing, studying and homework.
The Friends of Woodland Community Library are an active bunch who always welcome new members. The group meets on the last Thursday of every month at 7 pm to plan fundraising events and other activities supporting the library. The Friends have a special goal of helping Woodland get a new, larger, up-to-date library building. Visit the Friends' Web site to learn about upcoming projects and ways to get involved.
