Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries is seeking a full-time public services librarian for our Cascade Park Community Library. This position will work throughout the branch to provide a full range of information services to patrons of all ages including responding to reference and reader’s advisory questions, locating materials, and instructing patrons in using library technology. This position will collaborate with the branch manager, two librarians, and four senior library assistants to plan and implement library programs, promote library services, and build relationships in our community.
To be considered, applicants must have:
- A master’s degree in library and information science from an ALA accredited program or the ability to obtain a Washington State librarian certification upon hire
- One to three years of related work experience, including customer service

This is a full-time, salaried position working 40 hours per week. This position will be scheduled to work Tuesdays through Saturdays. This will include one closing shift (11 am–8 pm) and four day shifts (9 am–6 pm). The weekday evening shift will be determined with input of the final candidate.
The compensation for this position begins at $47,414.64 per year with an excellent benefits package including health insurance, life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short term and long term disability benefits, Washington State PERS retirement, and paid time off.
Employees who are able to pass written and oral assessments demonstrating Spanish, Russian, or Chinese language proficiency may be eligible for a 2.5% premium pay. No relocation assistance is available for this position.
