Around library-land, there are tons of upcoming teen programs! Each year in March, we host Teen Tech Week programs. This year, we are making podcasts. What's a podcast, you ask? Check out the special section below! Also, there's a sneak preview of the annual Teen Poetry Slam which will happen early in April. Hope to see you there!

Among the Hidden—Margaret Peterson Haddix

Have you ever felt like you didn’t want to go to school or you whined because you had too much homework? Well that’s the opposite of what Luke felt because he was one of those people called the shadow children, a third child. According to the population police three children are not allowed and breaking the law. Two children were more than enough.

One day Luke saw a glimpse of a girl’s face next door, but two boys had already left the house. Luke was so brave that he snuck into the neighbor’s house and met a girl named Jen, who was also a third child. Later after talking things out, Luke discovered that Jen had a dangerous plan that involved lots of shadow kids and some unexpected population police, in a fight for freedom.

After reading this book I give it five stars and two thumbs up. It was like a magnet to me, I could not put it down.
