Our newsletter naming contest is still going on! We've had some fabulous entries, but we want more. Help us think of a witty, unique, descriptive, and original name for this email newsletter for teens. Send your ideas to: teens@fvrl.org. Did I mention there are PRIZES?

clipart Do you have something to say? Don't keep it inside, share your words with others! Entries are being accepted for the library's annual Poetry Slam for teens. The Poetry Slam will be held on April 9th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Wy'East Middle School. Submit your entry form to any branch library or via email to teens@fvrl.org by April 4th. Space is limited to the first 25 entries.

Chris Crutcher is coming to Three Creeks Community Library on April 30th at 7:00 p.m.

Come listen to what he has to say about his books, being an author, and more. All attendees may enter a raffle at the event to win one of his books. A reception with the author and refreshments will follow his presentation.

FVRL is participating in a One Book, One Community event. This year, we are reading Give a Boy a Gun by Todd Strasser.

How to participate: Get a free copy of the book (while supplies last) from Three Creeks, Cascade Park, Woodland, or White Salmon Libraries.

Then, join a discussion about the book:
Firstenburg Center: April 21st 5:00 p.m.
Woodland Library: April 29th 5:00 p.m.

Look for information in next month's newsletter about where to meet the author! He will be in Vancouver on May 12 and White Salmon on May 13.
