Contest Guidelines
- Poets who want to enter the competition must return a completed entry form by closing on Saturday, April 4 to any FVRL library (note: not all libraries are open Saturdays).
- Each poem can be no longer than two minutes. Each poem must be the original work of the poetry slam contestant.
- Poetry slam will be judged by a panel of adult and teen judges. There will be two rounds of competition. You must be prepared to compete with two origianl poems.
- Competition is limited to the first 25 entries.
- Two winners will be chosen: one from ages 12 to 15 and one from ages 16 to 19.
- Contest is open to all teens ages 12 to 19 who live within, are homeschooled or attend school in the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District and Woodland School District.
