Introducing
WorldCat Mobile

  • Search for books, music, movies, games and more available at libraries—right from your phone!

Type this URL into your phone's Web browser: www.worldcat.org/m/

At this time, the WorldCat Mobile interface is in English only.

For U.S. iPhone users

Add the RedLaser app to your iPhone

Now there's another way to get library results—through the RedLaser app for iPhone. One of the top 25 paid apps, RedLaser is available from the iTunes app store. It's a comparison shopping app that uses your iPhone's camera to scan a book's barcode and gives you results from Google, theFind and local libraries. Watch the video demo on YouTube then download the app from the iTunes App Store.

Now you can use your mobile phone to find materials in libraries near you. You can help us test this service and suggest improvements or additional features.

Also available: Boopsie application

WorldCat has partnered with mobile-technology leader Boopsie to create an app that lets you search for library materials using search terms such as keywords, author or title, then find a WorldCat library near you that owns it by entering your postal code or location. You can also call the library directly—just highlight and click the number—and map a route with the software already on your device.

The Boopsie app also includes a "smart prefix" feature that allows you to type only the first few letters of search keywords and view results instantly as you type.

Download the Boopsie app now at worldcat.boopsie.com.
