Buy used books in the library
Looking for a few good books to keep forever? There is no need to wait around for a used book sale. Most FVRL libraries house small book shops for the local Friends of the Library group where you can find gently used books at bargain prices, and support the library at the same time.
North Clark and Cowlitz Counties
- Battle Ground Community Library: Ben's Books, near the Meyer Room, is open during regular library hours.
- La Center Community Library: Virginia's Bookstore, on the 2nd floor across from the elevator, is open during regular library hours.
- Ridgefield Community Library: Friends of the Library Bookstore, located just inside the Mill Street entrance, is open during regular library hours.
- Woodland Community Library: Friends of the Library Bookstore, on a designated shelf, is open during regular library hours.
- Yacolt Library Express: Bigfoot Books, in one of the building's old jail cells, is open during self-service hours.
- Yale Valley Community Library: Friends of the Library Sale Shelf, in the meeting room, is open during self-service hours.
Vancouver Metro Area
- Cascade Park Community Library: Friends of the Library Bookstore, in the lobby, is open during regular library hours.
- Three Creeks Community Library: Friends of the Library Bookstore, in the library lobby near the meeting room, is open during regular library hours.
- Vancouver Community Library: The Book Nook, in the atrium, is staffed by volunteers and open Mon–Sat, 11:30 am–4:30 pm.
- Vancouver Mall Library: Friends of the Library Sale Cart, near the staff desk, is open during regular library hours.
Columbia Gorge
- Goldendale Community Library: Friends of the Library book shelf, in the children's area, is open during regular library hours.
- Stevenson Community Library: Friends of the Library bookstore, in the entry and in the lower lobby near the gallery, is open during regular library hours.
- Washougal Community Library: The Book Nook, just inside the front door, is open during regular library hours.
- White Salmon Valley Community Library: Friends of the Library bookstore, in the hallway near the gallery, is staffed by volunteers Tuesday and Thursday, 12–4 pm.
