Board Members

The library Board of Trustees is composed of seven positions representing all of Fort Vancouver Regional Library District. Board members are not paid for their time and are essentially volunteers. They are appointed by a joint resolution of the commissioners of Clark, Skamania, and Klickitat Counties, generally for seven-year terms. The three counties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (PDF) that has all the details about Board members' appointments. Clark County has a Resolution (PDF) that describes their appointing procedures.

Kristy Morgan, Chair

Kristy Morgan, Chair
Position #7 (Clark County At-Large)

Current term runs through: 12/31/2028

"My love for books goes back as far as I can remember. When I was a little girl, my grandpa would help me read by looking through the newspapers with me. I visited my library any chance I could get, and always participated in the summer reading programs. It is important to me to facilitate a love of reading in my own little girls, and throughout our communities. I work as a healthcare professional, but volunteer opportunities are very important to me. I am honored to serve my community by being a part of the FVRLibraries Board of Trustees."

"The library is a vital and essential part of our community. I bring a master’s degree in library science and over 30 years of experience in corporate and public libraries to my position on the FVRLibraries Board of Trustees. My passion for library services has taken me from the aerospace industry to investigative journalism to a global legal firm. The pandemic has provided FVRLibraries an opportunity to find new and inventive ways to communicate and share information with the community. I support and encourage the staff’s efforts and ideas to enhance that two-way exchange of ideas and knowledge."
