Whether you need to print a form, scan important documents, or send a quick fax every FVRLibraries location provide easy-to-use self-service tools and friendly staff to help you along the way.

Print From Your Personal Device

To print directly from your smartphone, tablet, home computer, or laptop you will need to send a print request to one of the buttons below.

Print instructions

Select the appropriate printing link:

Upload your file: Choose the document or file you wish to print.
Verify print settings: Review your job details carefully, including Color vs. Black & White, page range, number of copies, and estimated cost.
Enter your library account number: Input your library card account number to claim your weekly free pages. (Optional: Add an email or phone number).
Submit your job: Select Submit.
Pick up your prints: Within 24 hours, visit the print release kiosk at any FVRLibraries location and enter your library account number (or username) to print your files.

Weekly Free Credit
Library account holders automatically receive a $3.00 credit each week.

That covers:

30 black & white pages
(8½ x 11 or 8½ x 14)

6 color pages
(8½ x 11 or 8½ x 14)

After you use your free credit

8½ x 11 (Letter):
– Black & white: $0.10 | Color: $0.50
8½ x 14 (Legal):
– Black & white: $0.10 | Color: $0.50
11 x 17 (Ledger):
– Black & white: $0.20 | Color: $1.00

Scanning

From a standard copier scanner

On library photocopiers, you can scan to a USB drive in black and white or color for free.

Place your document: Load pages face-up into the top document feeder, or place a single page face-down on the scanner glass.
Connect your USB drive: Plug your USB drive into the port on the front of the copier. Wait for the touchscreen message: "External memory device (USB) is connected."
Select scan mode: Tap Scan to external memory device on the touchscreen.
Choose your scan options:
- Quick scan: Tap Black & White Start or Color Start.
- Custom options (filename, file type, etc.): Tap Details, then tap Yes to exit Easy Scan mode. Adjust your settings and tap Start.
Scan additional pages (if needed): Place your next page and tap Start.
Finish scanning: Tap Read-End after your last page is scanned.
Remove USB and document: Wait until the touchscreen message changes from "sending data" to "sending complete," then unplug your USB drive and retrieve your document.

From a flatbed scanners

Flatbed scanners (up to 12" x 17") are available for use at no charge. They are located at:

Goldendale Community Library
Ridgefield Community Library

These scanners also support negatives and slides. Please bring a USB thumb drive to store your digital files.

Faxing

Faxing at the library

All FVRLibraries locations have fax machines*. Sending a fax is free.

To locate a fax machine during your visit or get assistance using it, please ask staff. To send a fax, follow these steps:

Turn on the machine and load the document: Press the power button. Place your document text facing up in the feeder, or face down on the scanner glass for single items.
Start a new fax: On the touchscreen, tap the Fax icon, then tap the To: field.
Enter the fax number: Use the touchscreen or buttons to type the destination fax number. (If using the scanner glass, follow the screen prompts to scan each page).
Send the fax: Tap Send on the touchscreen or press the green triangle button.
Check confirmation: Wait for the confirmation sheet to print and verify that the Status field reads "OK".
Confirm receipt: Check with your recipient to ensure they received and can read the fax.

*Please note: The North Bonneville Community Library fax machine is only available during staffed hours.
