KOOBDOOGA: Community Reads 2017

"Where Bigfoot Walks" by Robert Michael PyleIt's "a good book" spelled backward and our annual Community Reads Program! The Friends of White Salmon Valley Community Library are sponsoring a series of events in October. The goal is to bring the community together to celebrate a good book. This year's featured title is Where Bigfoot Walks: Crossing the Dark Divide by Robert Michael Pyle. It's a fascinating look at the legend, concerned less with the existence of Bigfoot than with the nature of human belief, particularly the need to believe that something beyond what we rationally know is "out there."

When is it?

Events kick-off Saturday, September 30, 2017 and continue each Saturday afternoon throughout the month of October. They include: an exhibition of artwork inspired by the featured book; an artists’ reception; a book discussion; and more.

How to participate

Come to the library and pick up a free copy of the featured title to read and share beginning in September. Bring the book back or pass it along to a friend, so the whole community has the opportunity to share the story. Then... choose events that appeal to you, and join in!
