Beyond Our Shelves
Looking for something the library doesn't have?

Search a Reciprocal Library
As a member of the Metropolitan Interlibrary Exchange (MIX) and other reciprocal agreements, FVRLibraries makes it possible for FVRLibraries resident account holders (including Yale Precinct) to get a free account to use at nearby libraries.
Try WorldCat Discovery
Find items—books, audiobooks, journals, and sometimes even articles—within and beyond FVRL's collection. Although you can access this without a library card, you must use your library card if you wish to start here in requesting an interlibrary loan.
Use ILLiad
Patrons can use ILLiad, FVRL's interlibrary loan system, to request material not available through the library catalog or FVRL's magazines and newspapers. Library staff will try to borrow the item you request from another library system and you'll get to use the item through your local branch!
You'll need your library card number to register.
Before creating your ILLiad account, you may wish to read the Library Privileges Policy or the Interlibrary Loan FAQ.
Suggest a Purchase
We value your suggestions! Your requests play an important role in shaping the library’s collection and helping us meet the needs and interests of our community. While we may not be able to add every title, each suggestion is carefully reviewed by our selectors.
