I will say right up front that I am not a fan of the horror genre. I’ve never gravitated toward scary books, movies, or places—not even haunted houses. But, I am willing to read or hear a ghost story paired with history. Why not spice up history with a little paranormal activity? I have yet to actually see a ghost or any evidence of one. Even some time in Virginia City, Nevada, with all of the legendary characters that are rumored to haunt it, has been uneventful in the spirit realm for me. But, it is October, so let’s read some tales of haunted places and maybe even be inspired by some recipes or plan a ghostly road trip!
