FVRLibraries Bookmobiles
Meeting you where you are.
At FVRLibraries, we believe everyone deserves access to a library. But for many in our district, distance is a real barrier. So we bring the library to you.
Our bookmobile story goes back to 1940, when we launched our first service to reach rural communities in Clark and Skamania Counties. Nearly 86 years later, our bookmobiles continue to roll on and now serve all three counties in our district: Clark, Skamania, and Klickitat.
Stop by to browse and check out books, connect to free Wi-Fi, and catch up with your neighbors.
Clark County Bookmobile
The Clark County Bookmobile is launching this summer and will be visiting select organizations and community events. During this time, we will be offering books from our Read, Return, Repeat (RRR) collection. Books from this collection do not require a library card to check out.
Then, beginning September 2026, we will announce a regular schedule for the bookmobile and offer circulating books from our library collection.
Skamania/W. Klickitat Bookmobile
Operated by Stevenson Community Library, the bookmobile is for all ages and interests. It holds a collection of approximately 2,000 items. You can also place your own holds on materials in the catalog—just like at any library—and select your bookmobile as the pickup location.
Goldendale/Klickitat Bookmobile
Operated by Goldendale Community Library, the bookmobile is for all ages and interests. It holds a collection of approximately 2,000 items. You can also place your own holds on materials in the catalog—just like at any library—and select your bookmobile as the pickup location.
Online Resources
Discover tools for work, school, and play. From career help and family history research to learning new languages, DIY skills, or diving into historical news—our online resources make it easy. Browse academic resources, hobby guides, and more to support your goals and curiosity.

If getting to our bookmobile or one of our library locations is not possible, FVRLibraries' books by mail program might be a great option.
