Frequently asked questions

Why isn’t the whole area open?
We are working with several community partners on a long term plan for renovating the space to offer new features and exhibits. We have also relocated some components, which leaves sections unsuitable for play.
How often do you clean?
We clean toys and wipe surfaces every night. We have 2 sets of props that we rotate half-way through the day.
Why is there a capacity limit?
We have limited the entry point and reduced the size of the space for an upcoming larger renovation. Due to the limited number of exits we must make sure there is a capacity limit in place similar to our meeting room spaces.
Why are the hours limited?
Limited hours give staff time to clean and sanitize station features and components thoroughly. We are also working on a plan to offer special programs and Sensory Hours with limited capacity for children or people with disabilities as defined by the ADA.
