FVRL has a number of local newspapers and historical documents in our collection, including on microfilm. You are welcome to visit during open hours to search our records yourself. If you bring a USB drive with you, in most cases you can save scans of anything you find.
We are happy to help with your search in local newspapers and historical documents if you know the exact date (or close to it) of an event. Fill out our question form with as much detail as you can (names, dates, locations), and we will search up to two weeks of a daily newspaper or up to a month of a weekly paper. When you provide a valid email address, we can email you scans of any obituaries or articles we find. There is no fee for this service.
